That interface may not be the blah blah blah RT flavor of the week but in the right hands I am sure a radio hit could be and probably has gone through something not as good. All I am saying is don't focus on the tools focus on the result. Too many of us get caught up in the minutiae and mentality of well George Plynch used a sm57 and a royer 121 into a neve 1272 and a Langevin am16 then into a lexicon PCM into a Urei 1176 and so on and so on and so on..... Sad! Just F***ing record with what you have and try to get the best sound you can. Man it's all about experimentation. Just like practicing on the guitar the more you record the better your stuff will sound.
P.S. Don't get me wrong I am a total gear whore but at the end of the day all that gear doesn't matter if the product you put out sounds like shit because you don't know what your doing with it.
..helped me..you got something better?Rezamatix":137g5src said:This video wasn't that good at all. It was super basic and not that great. It was fine if you have no idea ever on how to record but other than that , fairly remedial. And who the hell would use that interface, horrible.

You are correct on all points.
Classic albums we have listened to for years were recorded with far inferior equipment than what this kid is using.
What those old albums were created with was talent, determination, ideas and skill. Things that are sorely lacking these days.
BULLSHIT!!!!
Classic albums used amazing mic pres, and recorded to 2 inch son!
