Hey dudes,
So on the Eventide stomps, you have the ability to switch the output levels between line and instrument, which i actually use as i run my Timefactor and carbon copy in the loop.
Now, i run the CC first into the timefactor out into the serial loop chain. with the CC being strictly instrument level, i notice that when i have the input set to instrument level and the output set to line level, the effect becomes a bit more present, but there are some presets including one i use a lot on stage that seem to clip. There's a clip LED on the front panel of the effect that doesn't light up, but there is audible popping and the effect seems to compress/limit a little when it happens, even when the amp is turned low. When i have the outputs set to both line level, that flaw no longer happens, but there seems to be a slight decrease in headroom.
my questions are with my board setup the way it is,
-shouldn't i have the ins and outs mismatched to make full use of that feature?
-Is that really why it clips on that patch?
From my experience, the other patches sound fine, but i havent delved into all 100 presets as much as i use this one.
-Should i just leave both I/O on line level?
-is this at all bad for the amp
thanks buds!
