Been looking into getting a microphone set for my iPhone, and can't seem to find any that are comparable with the iPhone 4! Been looking at the Alesis Protrack and the Blue Microphones Mikey. I like the Mikey better, but the Pro Track has a threaded mount to mount your phone on a mic stand. That's awesome. I guess it doesn't matter, as neither of them work with the iPhone 4. The yet to be released Mikey 2 model doesn't list the iPhone 4 either :(. Anyone have any other ideas? I'd love to have a portable recording rig for both demos and videos.

I'm waiting on this too. Apple changed the dock connector spec as of the iPhone 4/iPod touch 4/iPad. I have the iPad and the iPT4, and both run Multitrack DAW really well, and would be very useful with a quality mic setup. I guess it'll just take time for the manufacturers to catch up.

Yup, just gotta wait I guess. There isn't some other brand I've overlooked?

Also, do these systems run in conjuction with the camera too? If not, I'll just buy that Zoom Q3. I'd much rather have it all in one on my wonderful iPhone, but if I have too, I will. Be great for recording shows/demos/rig videos, and just for taking out with me and the friends/family.

I have looked a lot and have yet to find anything. It all says it's not compatible with the iPhone 4/iPad. And if something ever does come along, it's difficult to say if it'll be compatible with the video; I'm not sure how the interface works, or what Apple allows as far as interfacing with their hardware. They're pretty dictator-like in that regard.

It would be really cool though, to have something like an X-Y mic setup using the 720p video. I just used my iPod today to video my daughter's first dance class, and the quality is fantastic for something so tiny.
