I'm torn between the eleven rack and an axe fx. I need something under 1k for a complete system. My primary use will ve just to play at home through my pc so I don't have to keep cranking my recto at home and losing ny hearing. I just want decent tone at bedroom volumes. Recording would be a plus but its not my main concern. I see axe fx systems range from about 1k to several thousand. I wouldnt mind a used one as long as i can get it all running for 1k or less, otherwise I'm getting the eleven rack.

Opinions?

Thanks

if the recto tone is your main concern, get the eleven rack and be done with it.

I bet you could find an Axe Standard for close to $1000. That's what I would get, but it's up to you!

Yeah standard can be around 1000. Have you checked out the Pod HD?

I would get a Torpedo Live instead, you can crank your Recto and have fun at any volume. If you love your amp, that is the best solution IMO.

What is that and what does it cost? I absolutely love my recto but there is an appeal to having other models. I had heard thst the eleven rack is nice but the high gain models aren't so great

The editor software is free on the Fractal Audio website.

AFX standard for 800-1200

Will that require any additional software to edit tones/rigs?

You don't need the software but it certainly makes things easier. The software is free to download off of Fractal's website.

Done....right there!
I had a Kemper previously, sold it and went with the Torpedo. If you love the tone from your amp, then this is the way to go.
I haven't looked back or regretted the decision since.

I had an axe standard, the effects are world class, the amp tones aren't that great. If you just need your amp tone, the Torpedo is a great solution. If you want a modelling amp, I'd go with an Eleven rack or even a Pod HD before I'd do the axe standard.
