I want to send a 1959SLP re-issue to dave this week, I'M thinking about the BE,C45,SAT. how much more would it be to add the HBE and the FAT Switch? And if I had the HBE and the Fat switch, would I still need to have the SAT. Switch? And last does a master volume come with the mod. I want to be able to play this amp at bedroom levels and well as unleashing all hell! I do not want to run an attenuator. I'm going for a 80's hard rock tone!! Any opinion's welcomed! Thanks to all that reply!

I'm pretty sure anytime you add another gain stage there is a MV involved, i would want that for sure, Dave can do anything you want.

Be patient, he's got a shit-load of amps right now.

Here's my advise, don't skimp, get as many mods as you can fit, it makes for a much more versatile amp. Master volume is standard. The sat switch works great in conjuction with the HBE. I think you're looking at $150 per mod, about the price of a pedal, it's cheap.

Last I looked, the HBE was an additional $100 and the Fat was $50.

I would tend to agree with the advice of getting as many features as you can swing. The SAT in my opinion is a must if you want the classic 80s metal type sound ala Dokken, Ratt, etc. in combination with the BE. The HBE doesn't really need anything on top of it, it is plenty heavy and probabaly a bit over the top with either the SAT or C45 on with it, but whatever makes you happy. I recall Dave telling me the C45 and the SAT weren't really designed to be used with the HBE necesarily although they can be. Finally I would say the reason I love mine so much is the versatility of so many sounds in one amp. Hard to beat.

I have sent dave an E-mail and havn't heard back from him, no big deal I know he is busy. Does anyone know how much more it is to add the Fat, Sat. Switch to the KS Mod?

50 watt – $2,800
100 watt – $3,000

Options:

Rack Systems custom 45 mod – $50
Rack Systems effects loop – $200
Rack Systems fat switch – $50
Rack Systems Saturation switch – $50
Rack Systems simple clean channel – $150
Rack Systems clean channel on back of amp – $500
Rack Systems – extra gain and MV knobs – $150

So the KS mod is $700 plus $50 for the Fat and $50 for the Sat. mods. For a grand total of $800. and will there be tax on top of this? Thank you!

That sounds about right. No tax if you are out of State. You will have shipping both ways which is usually around another 100. Your talking just under a grand unless you need tubes or if Dave finds some other issues with the amp that needs to be repaired or replaced.

I think I have decided on the KS, plus the Fat & Sat switches, and the Hi End Contour switch!!

Yes, and you have made a wise decision.
