MOJOTONE or Cieratone for kit amp?

I am wrapping up my 5f1 now. I bought a bassman 'small parts kit' from mojotone because I have the original 68 bassman chassis and transformers. Everything looks great.

I realize that I am getting a build ahead of myself, but I want a jtm 45 that I could use the weber kit iron (sitting around) and I don't know where I would get better bang for the buck for the chassis and small parts kit for.

I could get new iron either way if I wanted.

Should I go mojo or ctone? For the jtm 45 stuff?

So if I read this right, you have the JTM45 transformers / choke for the build but need everything else including chassis?
I would suggest you look at Valvestorm: http://valvestorm.com
Not sure how the prices would compare vs Ceriatone / Mojotone, but the chassis / turret board / parts would be the highest quality.
The biggest issues for me would be the:
1- the coupling caps. With Ceriatone / Mojo you are going to get TAD / Mojotone Dijon caps vs the Synergy's available at Valvestorm. The Mojo Dijons are good caps, but they are not vintage sounding at all. They are great in something like a Chupacabra, but for a JTM45 you probably want the Synergy's.
2- The chassis: Valvestorm has an aluminum chassis, where Ceriatone is steel. Not sure about Mojo.
3- Electrolytic caps: Ceriatone will have "Holy grail axials and ?? can caps. Mojo uses JJ can caps and ?? for axials. With Valvestorm you can get either F&T or ARS can caps, both of which I would use over JJ's, and you have good options for the axials.

Good luck with the build!

The MOJO stuff for my bassman was all orange drops and atoms. Which is good for that build. I will do a little more surfing on the JTM45. @fusedbrain thanks for the info.

Cheers!

Not sure the specific build you want from Ceriatone, but I can say that if its a chassis with fx loop holes cut and plates labelled for, that they spacing wont work with the metro loop or a few of the others loops on the market. Nik has one, but I think the Metro loop is the gold standard

This loop looks interesting.
