Monitorcab for guitaramp

Hi folks !

Yesterday I have used my Diezel Schmidt for the first time with a monitorcab 2x12 from TAD with 2 tonetubbys in a life situation!

It was really great ..... direct sound for me and also the guy at the mixingconsole gave me compliments!

What do you think about this or prever most of the guitarplayers no directsounds?

I find it very helpfull for me the other musicans on the stage and for the technics!

What is about a Diezelcab which looks like a monitor ? Perhaps a question for Peter Stapfer!

What if the guitarplayer is a singer and has some very loud monitors in front of himself? Is it really helpful for the foh guy to hear the guitarist´s voice almost as loud as the guitar signal through the guitar microphone?
Vice versa the guitar signal is way too loud through the voice microphone.

What if the other musicians want to hear what part you are playing in the orchestra?

Hi! No problem I also sing background! My guitaramp and the cab stands right of me and the normal monitor in front of me!

The guitarsignal is not a problem for my vocalmike and the rest of the band hear my guitarsignal via their normal monitors!

And belive me we have a loud drummer and so I have to play loud too ! We play rock cover Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Whitesnake......

Hi Peter!

Mein Problem auf der Bühne war immer der Abstrahlwinkel von der Box!

Ich mag halt sehr gerne den direkten Sound der Speaker und der Box !

Aber normalerweise geht das nur in dem man die 2x12 ca. 60 cm höherstellt und mindestens 2,5 m Abstand hat!

Bei der Monitorvariante von TAD benötigt man wenn man sehr dicht an der Box stehen muß (kleine Bühne) nur max 30cm Erhöhung.

Klar fehlt durch das geringere Gehäusevolumen etwas Bass aber das läßt sich mit dem Bassregler locker ausgleichen.

Habe auf diese Art wirklich einen genialen Bühnensound gehabt und alle auf der Bühne und auch der Mann am Mixer waren sehr zufrieden!

Auf diese Art merke ich vor allen anderen wann ich zu laut bin.

Klar als gitarrespielender Sänger in der Mitte der Bühne muß das Gitarrensignal in erster Linie durch den Gesangsmonitor kommen und die Gitarrenbox sollte möglichst wenig ins Gesangsmicro einstreuen.

Aber bei mir mit der Box rechts und dem normalen Monitor vor mir funktioniert das einwandfrei! Und ich stehe auf das direkte Signal aus der Box ohne zusätzl. Monitoring für mich.

Was natürlich nicht die Qualität meiner Diezel 2x12 hempcone schmälert die ich natürlich auf großen Bühnen weiterhin spielen werde, evtl mit der TAD Box obenauf als kleines Stack .... mal sehen!

Vielleicht ist das eine kleine Anregung mal über eine ähnliche Box von Diezel nachzudenken.
