Mooer Pitch Box

I ran into a youtube vid of a guy getting a really convincing Hagar Era VH Chorus effect with a Mooer Pitch box set on ‘de-tune’ -2. Sounded noticeably better than many dedicated chorus pedals I have cycled through my board. Also ran into a vid of a guy who ordered a brand new one that was defective out of the box - maybe just a fluke thing. Just wondering if anyone here on RT has or has had a Mooer Pitch Box and what your thoughts are?

FWIW - I did I try the EVH Chorus pedal after watching Pete Thorn’s demo and I definitely did get a bunk unit outta the box. It exhibited really weird, harsh digital artifacts whenever engaged. I found a few threads on other forums identifying the exact same thing that apparently some number of units demonstrated. I returned it for a full refund, but I am not interested in spinning the wheel again.

No experience with the Pitch Box and I was looking for something for the non-warble type chorus detune effect in a small footprint and reasonable price and I got exactly that with my Digitech Luxe. I love that pedal! I use it for some songs or just solos and it's so much fun. it really adds a noticeable dimension effect/detune without the warble chorus effect. Maybe give that a look if that's what you're looking for.
