Mooer has been coming out with some cool stuff lately. They used to make tiny little clone pedals, but now they've got all kinds of cool stuff. I just came across this and it looks pretty cool.

 
Mooer seems to be kicking it up a notch for sure. I just ordered one of their Radar cab sim IR loader pedals from ebay yesterday for shits and giggles.

Let me know how it works out. I'm still not sure if they've evolved from the "It's cool but kind of a toy" thing, but I like the stuff they're coming out with. I played the little BM 5w amp and it sounded fantastic. It has a 6V6 power tube and a preamp tube. For around $230 new, it's a damned good deal. They also have an AC model that's similar but with an EL84, but I didn't like it as much.

Have you checked out Joyo stuff yet? They kind of seem in the same category as Mooer. They've got some cool mini amps and lot of other products too.
 
I've seen lots of Joyo stuff when I look for stuff on Amazon but never tried it.

For my purposes, the Radar can load an IR of your choice and has a headphone jack which is great... don't have to fire up my computer/interface for late night jamming... I know it also has micing and poweramp sims like the Torpedo cab but not planning on using them.

I picked up a used Logidy EPSI IR loader pedal not too long ago and to me that very slight millisecond response vs DAW with IR's makes a difference when recording and tracking with a load box etc. The EPSI can only load 44.1 kHz IR's tho... the Radar can do 96.0 kHz IR's and then some... anyway I'll report back if its any good.
 
Wow. That thing is so much more flexible than my Tech 21 RK5.

Not even the same ballpark.
I’d throw one of those on a small board with a power source and wah and be done.

I love how you can run the boosts through the front only the amp and time delay effects through the loop. Then set presets.

Not new stuff but it looks to be the size of the Tech 21. That’s cool.
 
Love my mini preamps and waiting on my ge-200 to ship.
 
townsend delay and reverb is mooer? that thing looks cool, just not sure if it is mooer?
 
yeah, it is.... on my short list of things to get.

I'm interested in this thing for the same reasons you are.

Is your Radar shipping immediately or is it a pre-order?
 
It shipped right away (today)... Bought it from Pitbull Audio (same guys I bought my Suhr RL from) on ebay. They had it for $148 with free shipping. I was at work debating on getting it and was literally watching the numbers go from 10 available to 3 within a 30 minute period. I went for it.. Hoping it rocks.

I ordered from them also yesterday on Reverb. I hope they ship mine soon they said they had one left lol :scared:

Pitbull Audio kicks arse. I'm pretty sure that's where I got my Suhr RL and have bought pickups, pedals, and all the usual accessories from them. In fact, they just sent me an email the other day saying a free set of guitar strings was on the way. Not sure if I entered a giveaway or if they just appreciate my business.

that pedal is only $150??!!!
 
after being on and off the fence for a few months, i finally bought the mooer red truck. i was so stoked because I had owned the tech 21 rk5 and the valeton efx unit... i was hoping that the MRT would be in a league of it's own. TBH, the delay, mod and reverb efx were great, but the dirty tones absolutely sucked. i tried the unit through different amps over a few days and i couldn't find a tone that i was happy with... the tone was too squishy and muffled. i wanted a hair more bite and it's just not there. luckily, i sold it for what i paid and i got another RK5.

I couldn't be happier now.

maybe you guys will have better luck, but i couldn't be happier selling mine
