I recently got ahold of an HD300 and was blown away by how great it could sound in a mix.
Here are a few sounds (use headphones for best quality
Mix details
Guitars: epiphone dot 2004 >HD300> usb to macbook
Amp patches: marshall plexi doubled with engl is base sound, uberchall used on occasion.
Bass: epiphone through clean patch with suboctaver
Drums: played on keyboard through garageband (pardon the timing issues, latency is a bitch and a half on this laptop)
All in all, great solution for direct recording, definitely recommend checking it out.
