Motor City Afwayu vs BKP Holy Diver

its the same one except for a maple board.
Right now i have a dimarzio super 3 in the bridge. I want a thicker/ballsier sound.
Which should i get the afwayu or holy diver? which would be better in parallel and in series?

I am trying to get a very bright/thin sounding guitar to sound big/full/thick.
also any suggestions for a nice single coil bucker for the neck?

If you want balls, and I mean BIG balls, get the Afwayu. Enough said.

I have both pickups installed and the holy diver is a smoother rock tone. The Afwayu is just plain mean sounding. Have you considered the Hellbaby? It's also more aggressive in the mids.

like I said in the other thread, these are my bridge favorite pups
the holy diver is medium high output, with a lot of low and center mids, warm top end, thick lead tone, fat and easy pinch harmonics
the afwayu, despite of having the same specs, is hotter, tighter and more aggressive sounding
a lot like the bk nailbomb, but way more middy
I'd say the diver sounds more open, more fluid and a bit thicker, but not as punchy
really depends on what you're looking for
it's a warmth x bite question

Get both, try them out, and sell the one you like less. You'll always second guess yourself and wonder if you made the right choice...I see it all the time.

+1 I have both also. The holydiver is an amazing all around rock pup. but if you want huge ballsy tone, Afwayu.

I heard the Aldrich thru my amp 2 weeks back. Made me want it really bad. Did some research and read up on the reviews here. Found out the Afwayu is similar to the Aldrich but MEANER!

Thats what I have in my guitar as of the past 3 days.....the Afwayu. Sounds like the Aldrich with a little more bottom end and slight more growl. I love it!

that's all a matter of taste
I'm a fan of the warpig, but it has an unique tone, despite of output, while the diver and afwayu are more "standard" rock sounding, like a JB

I think i will get the afwayu. How does the Afwayu sound in parallel?
also any suggestions for a good single coil humbucker in the neck to complement the Afwayu in the bridge?
