Hey Guys.

Been really busy with the new site design and things. Had A few issues with E-mail but we are now back on track. It shouldn't be too long now: ) I have some new models coming out and some exciting news from a few new builders that I have been working with closely for their line of guitars as well. Should be a great time, well overdue. You all know that. Some highlights of the top of my head:

**Just got a bigger order finished for Ray and Frankie of My Chemical romance as they are in the studio recording. Apparently they were fighting over the SG P90 loaded with MCP's- No more fighting, they have their own and plenty of p90's now ; )
**Dave Linsk and Overkill have dropped their new cd- the Electric age which features the Detroiter humbucker exclusively on the recordings. Let's not forget that wicked Fortin amp too : ) Much love for that mean lil demon.
** Zaukusguitars.com have launched and apparently Brad Whitford of Aerosmith has been flying all over the place with it. They feature custom designed "Dragon Suit" pickups exclusively for the Zaukus guitar line. Joe P has one coming as well. There are a few videos on youtube from Destroy all guitars that feature the Zaukus " Supernal".
** Jerry and AIC are recording another album as well. IF you liked the last one, this one is heavier, nastier, with a whole lot of guitar! A tune called "voices" has almost every style of guitar playing you can think of without loosing the grit and kiln of AIC.
I'll keep the other news for the site : ) Thanks for reading and keep pickin" . Feel free to join MCP on facebook also. I have a lot of pictures and custom work I've done for various clients and things you might enjoy.

Wade, i'm not sure if anyone has said THANK YOU for doing what you do but i wanted to say thank you for doing your company in Detroit. I'm originally from Detroit and it makes me sad to see what has happened to "our" city. so this is simply a thank you for staying and making it work.

Also, Thank you for top notch products.

Same here as I am orginally from the Detroit area!!! Yes, it is real sad and good thing Wade is sticking around and producing kick ass pickups.

I'l chime in as well. Thank you for making the best pickups I've tried!

how do you guys like the afwayu? is it better than the aldriches?

I have yet been able to find something to replace my custom wind HB wade did for me!

Awesome news Wade! I ordered an Afwayu set a few years ago. I'd like to increase the output of the neck just a bit - just so it matches with the bridge better. Is this possible?

thanks!

Joe

Thank you sir. That is much appreciated. I too love Detroit, and although sad about our politics and corrupt management Detroit is on the comeback hard. I was born and raised in the heart of the city and cherish it. Kinda sad you only hear things negative lately about the city. There is so much here more than crime its pathetic really. Even the houses and buildings are of historical time and nature and you get a real sense of hard work and historical love just driving through. We are on the up!!
Peace, Wade

Very different . Perhaps one of these guys can tell you a little more about the other as I have near no experience with them.
Peace, Wade

As you know people have differing opinions, but my two cents is that the Afwayu was better than the Aldrich to my ears. I love the Aldrich Neck pick up and have Detroiters in both my Les Paul Bridges and Aldriches in the Necks so I did give the bridge a fair shake, just not my thing but many love them. I only got rid of my Afwayu because it was hotter than everything else I had and when we were gigging, it was too different of an output from all of my other guitars to the that one. Otherwise I loved it and probably would still have it. I originally had an Aldrich set in my Les Paul but dumped the bridge for a Detroiter and never looked back. WOuld love to try the Detroiter Neck someday. Tony

i'm a really big fan of aldrich tone love the upper tight mids. but when i search about his pickups i saw that they were high out put like 17dc resistance, personally don't like high output cause of details that i dont want to get into right now. anyway found out about motorcity first order the 2nd degree kick ass pickup then the angel dust. everytime i plugged into my engl with the mcp i say to my self its not going to get anybetter, love the upper mids!! and sounds so natural. mcp kicks ass
