Any ever use these before. Interested in some 2nd Degree Black Belts and wanted some opinions. Thank you guys.
Mostly rock sounds. I have grown tire alnico 5 magnet pickups. A2 are to round in the low end. Looking for low output and a more even frequency response from the pickupWhat type of tone are you looking to achieve ?

Dude you are so on point with Tone Specific’s pickups.Good pickups for the price (I’ve had Detroiters, 2nd Degree Blackbelts, Twrecks, Angel Dust, Hot Head and Afwayu’s), but these days he’s known for really long wait times and poor communication. Not sure how often they come up used these days. If you’re looking for paf style pickups the Wolfetone’s imo sound more authentic to that sound and more organic, richer tone, but the Motor City’s are tighter and arguably better for metal because of that. Klein’s are also good for paf style pickups. The best I’ve had of current made/non-vintage pickups are the Tone Specific’s, but they cost more
In my book, they’re the only non-vintage pickups out there right now that don’t suck lol. They actually have some of that raw, organic thing that vintage gear excels at. His strat pickups are particularly good like you said. The set I actually am most impressed with is his Tele Deluxe set. Literally the only Tele neck pickup that I liked and the bridge I’d give even give a slight edge over my 2 actual pre-cbs early ‘60’s Tele bridge pickupsDude you are so on point with Tone Specific’s pickups.
I have the HSS set in a my SuperStrat.
The bridge humbucker is not splittable,
which is not necessary because the way the bridge pickup matches up with the neck pickup is on point, it sounds in line with a single coil enough but with a thicker & juicier top end.
The 2 & 4 positions are amazing, especially with the humbucker/single coil combination in the bridge/middle.
The neck pickup is nice and flute’y & hollow
with glassy bite.
Very price’y but worth every penny.
TONE TO THE BONE.
That’s the right guitar for them. They worked great in pretty much any mahogany body guitar I’ve had. In other body woods I often favor their Virtuoso set and sometimes the Twang tooI just bought a used set of Bloombuckers for one of my Les Pauls, yesterday. The clips, and lack of bad reviews by people that have actually tried them, got the better of me.......
Hopefully they will arrive by next weekend, and I can find out !!
