Maybe I'm afraid to admit that I actually like these guys, but I do. I guess it could come down to the guys voice, love it or hate it sort of thing. But it's a lot different from plenty of stuff out there and I like that's there ZERO electronic bullshit in their songs. And they write some good tunes. Not really much in the way of rock playing but there's some cool playing regardless.

I also like Gaslight Anthem because..........they're from NJ and they sound like a regular rock band. :D Maybe I'm listening to stuff like this because I'm pretty burnt out on a lot of the recent metal out there that's all starting to sound like the same.

Been on a serious acoustic kick this year and Mumford has been in my rotation. Currently doing my own flamenco-jazz songs on my Breedlove nylon strings, but also bought a nice Breedlove C25 steel string and am playing around with celtic and new age stuff on it, and even some bluegrass. Still love to crank up the Marshall from time to time, but the older I get, the more I find that I'm looking for more and more subtlety in music. And acoustic music is the scratch for that itch.

M&S are a great band. Super talented players and excellent songwriters. Awesomely cool guys, too. Did a gig with them for the Grammy Awards a year or so ago and they were great to work with. I am a big fan.

I can't really get into them, but I do respect their musicality. I do agree completely with you about listening to something very different. I don't really listen to any new metal music- it does all sound the same to me and a bit bland in fact. I keep finding older bands or anything throughout the last forty years that I was oblivious to before, that I've come to really enjoy now.

Fantastic musicians and performers. They blend quite a bit of stlyes. Mainly skiffle in my opinion.
