Music these days is dross

This foul mouthed dross is no.1 in the charts. This isn't even music. It's rubbish engineered to a grid in recording software using fake instruments and overlaid with filthy lyrics. Compare that to the likes of Chet Atkins, Muddy Waters, SRV, Charlie Parker, Jerry Reed or Eric Clapton (insert name of any other real musician) just for absolute starters. Real musicians: not some produced musically illiterate rubbish like this which reflects the degeneration in western society. I can't believe how far music has fallen. Once upon a time jazz was popular which is actually sophisticated music. Now look at how far down the musical ear of the general public has declined. Like I said - it's a broader reflection of how far society itself has fallen. I was sitting in McDonalds the other day listening to the canned music over the speaker and it was all of the same ilk. This tune, and I say that loosely, is just the first one I picked on when I decided to see what was top of the charts. Normally I wouldn't bother even listening.

It's not like that. It's just that some music is garbage. Like cheap candy for kids who don't realize there is better quality stuff.

I had a co-worker tell me about this amazing drum solo he heard. He pulled it up on his phone. I think it was foo fighters. He was like "this guy is probably the greatest drummer of all time". I was like "you need to listen to more drummers because this doesn't even make the top 250." He knew I was a musician and respected what I said, he just had no clue what greatest drummer even means because his breadth of listening is so small. All he has heard is the cheap crap.

Eh not really, that was LadyBeard.

Certainly a similar idea, as BabyMetal pretty much started out as gimmick too.

But the gimmick wore off pretty quick for them and they just put out their 4th album earlier this year

To be honest it's not really about her... I just picked that track because I looked up what was top of the charts... but in terms of an example of what I'm talking about it didn't disapoint.
