I figured I would share my last info with you guys before I leave.

I should update my profile. I am in Dallas Tx now, I never said I was leaving for good. I just had to spend time moving. lol

Plus all the phone calls from folks really inspired me to return.

But watch the vid. Might find it interesting.

I've met Josh. One of the cooler shits out there in music for sure.

The only problem I see with his point of view as that some of us like to jerk off on our fretboards. What made classic 70's and 80's rock so great is mixing killer guitars with killer vocal hooks. I'd take that any day over Queen's of the stone age or whatever band he is playing in now.

Wait, thought you left. Should've known that wasn't true.

Countdown to the next meltdown...begins now...

Interesting interview. I can appreciate the whole breaking the rules attitude. I think that can go to extremes too though.

I don't think josh was attacking solo's in general, he plays lots of licks in his music. However, a lead should serve the song not the other way around. EVH for example wrote some very good songs. If the songs sucked no one would talk about how great of a player he is. Same thing with Slash, or any other guitar player that is known for their technical ability rather than the songs.

Meh, all we get are players who break rules. How can rules exist if nobody follows them. It might be refreshing to hear a player who follows the rules. :D Petrucci doesn't count because he's too hairy.
