I tried many different analog delay pedals in the Soldano loop to see what works properly and finally found one , the MXR Carbon Copy.
It doesn't have volume loss issues or change the tone of the amp when used like many others i have tried . It's very quiet and with smooth repeats like analog delays should sound like , not a digital delay designed to sound like a analog delay like the Mad professor Deep Blue Delay or Wampler Faux echo pedals and they still don't sound good in the Soldano +4db loop .
The Carbon Copy also has True Bypass and 600ms of delay and with a picth modulation button if you need it.
Since it has a strong mix knob on it , you can set it up to the 3:00 position on the mix knob and it repeats the wet signal at the same level as the dry signal. Then you can decrease any amount needed to have the wet signal lower if you so desire as well.
That's what makes this pedal shine for Soldano loop issues with -10db pedal effects going through a +4db loop design , a strong mix knob. Therefor you get no signal loss when you use it in the loop.
Sure beats having to run delay pedals out front of the amp because of the loop design by a long shot.
Give it a try , you won't be dissapointed .
And the kicker is they sell for $109.99 all day long shipped free from various ebay dealers so you don't have to spend $200-$300 for a boutique delay pedal just to get one that works just as good.
Thought i would share this news with everyone , just my 2 cents worth.
