My 8-string fan-fret drop tuning system!

I built this a little while ago (mainly just as a huge experiment to see if I could do it!) and got asked to do a demo of the drop-tuning -> thought you guys might want a look!
It's a fan-fret 8-string (26.5" to 28"), then on the bottom 3 strings I've got a zero fret and an extra nut a whole tone further back. I designed and built a little device out of stainless steel that pushes each string onto the zero fret which you can lift out of the way to drop the note down to the extra nut.
So it's a quick video of me using the capo thing to drop the bottom strings! Only recorded on my phone so it's probably all treble!!!lol But hopefully you get the idea
(used my Kemper with a heavy Engl profile)

Thanks all, it is a bit of a beast!! I've got the neck dead straight though so I can get the action really low which makes it a bit easier to play than it might be otherwise!

This...I know a ton of 8 string players that would dig this. Did you post this on SSO? People might freak out. Sick innovation, man.....way to see an existing need and build to suit. Very cool.

Yeah it's on SSO, although I think it kind of slipped under the radar as sometimes happens in some of the less frequented sub-forums on there. Had some nice comments but nowhere near as many as some other builds I've posted there in the past. It does seem to happen sometimes, maybe the forum's just going through a quiet patch!!!lol
