My Supro Keeley amp still smells new and then I see another pedal just got released by my man Robert. I was going to wait to order one until I got a chance to chat with him about it but said "f it" and ordered one after work.

Does two different types of drives, reverb and delay. They are normally $179 (killer deal in my opinion) but on sale right now!

There are a few vids out but really liked this one I saw up. This guy always does some great vids:

BTW, got a text from Robert this morning and he has another pedal on the way. I don't know how that dude sleeps. LOL!

So far I dig the shit out of it with the Strat. Stevie tone to the max.
...and is that you in the video?
Go tie dreads in that hair....Bo Derick to the max
:D

LOL, no not me in the vid man. I'm as bald as Kojak. LOL!

Totally agree man, Stevie tones in that. I'm really excited. I got a message from him a few hours ago and he said even he can't stop playing that pedal. I really dig the reverb sounds in that and nice crunch in that drive. I have a bunch of his overdrive and distortion pedals (Filaments, El Rey Dorado, D&M, etc.) and I think this one might end up being a favorite. If I like it enough, I might get a second so I can do delay on one and reverb on the other and stack the drives.

I've got a couple of Keeley pedals on my board right now; an Aria, a D&M and a Mag Echo on my big board and a Dark Side in my little travel stash. Good stuff! That's Rabea in the video, of Anderton's fame as well as his own channel; great player. Thanks for sharing.

Btw, random aside, I saw Rob K with a shirt from Germany a ways back, was he in the service out there for a while?

Awesome!! Yeah man I love the D&M the most so far and got an Aria awhile back. I run all of his pedals into a Supro Keeley 1x12 and sounds great! :)

Robert and I went to high school in Germany together back in the 80s. Our Dads were both in the Army. I actually started playing guitar because of him. Saw his band at a school talent contest we had and he played "Eruption", "Bark at the Moon", etc. That next day I told my parents I wanted a guitar. He is a super cool guy and still down to earth. He is making some killer pedals right now and priced great!

The Aria is kind of an interesting beast, still trying to figure out how to best set it. I've seen some settings online, with the dirt portion knobs all at just below 12, but it's still hot!

I actually end up traveling through Kaiserslautern a lot as a waystation; flying through Rammstein quite a bit, as the Army likes to keep me busy.

How cool that you ended up meeting one of THE pedal guys and grew up around him! You made me look at that Supro Keeley, interesting! Right now I play through a Kemper with a Line6 Powercab+, but it takes pedals very well.

Yeah the Supro let me return into the tube world after having my Fractal since 2011 or so. I haven't had a tube amp since then. :) The Fractal does take pedals well but I just thought "hey, this is an excuse to get a Keeley". LOL

Yeah man, him and I were two of a few guitarists in school. So many funny moments as I was starting to learn. One memory was me buying an electric guitar and a combo amp with no built-in distortion. I meet up with him at school and say "I think my guitar is broke or something. There is no crunch and sounds clean". He said "you need a pedal" and I was like "what the hell is a pedal?". Which is funny now that he makes pedals.

We actually traded guitars Junior year. I had a Aria Pro II "The Cat" with Seymour Duncans and he had an Ibanez "Roadstar II" with Dimarzios. We just traded guitars. I had that guitar for years and in the 90s gave it to my cousin and he lost it or something. Robert had a ton of BOSS pedals and would let me borrow them all the time. I was still trying to understand "chorus", "delay", etc., etc. I was clueless. He let me borrow the BOSS "Metal" or "Heavy Metal" or whatever it was called and I was blown away.

I need to play more keeley pedals. I plan on grabbing a 4 knob compressor one of these days. A bunch of them popped in used at a local sam ash and I only had enough time to demo the compressor. I need another OD though soon, as I have six full rigs setup and got rid of a few OD's.

Oh yeah! One thing to keep in mind with his pedals is that he almost has different "periods" of his pedals. He is known for his compressor and was his first big thing (unbelievably I have never got one!!) and then was doing some overdrives that had a nice solid crunch and suited for rock, etc.

The past few years the company has just took off with all kinds of ideas, etc. I talked to him a few years ago at an event and he said just everyone was coming up with all of these cool things and they started running with it. The D&M came out around that time and I absolutely love that pedal. You get two pedals in one (overdrive and boost) and then you can choose which order. Same idea with the Aria which is a compressor and drive. It is becoming his signature thing now.

The input/output jacks at the top of the pedal so you can put more on a board side by side, which is a really cool idea. The DDR is similar to the D&M and Aria but it has three effects! That is just crazy, especially at the price. Then like with his other recent designs, you'll have a switch option to have low/high gain, etc. Alot of great options.

My other favorite is the El Rey Dorado. Man, that pedal is awesome! Three knobs, simple but has some great gnarly crunch. Even at 9 o'clock on the gain, just solid. I would say if you are looking for a good overdrive of his, I'd start with the El Rey Dorado. Just love that he keeps coming out with great pedals!

I will have to see down the line.

It is no secret that I love the fulltone fulldrive 2 mosfet. Hard not to grab another for how cheap they are on the used market and the range they have of available tones.

I will look into the D&M. Cheers!
