Check out my full run through of Positive Grid's new amp modelling iPad app, BIAS

This is pretty badass. Did not know about these options. Tube changing and tweaking is king!!

Now I really want one. I downloaded the free version and forgot about it.

Do you mean JamUp Pro? That is a different app, BIAS was released yesterday. It does work in JamUp Pro too though you just design and customise your amp then click on the JamUp icon to load it into JamUp to use with effects etc.

Well think of it as just the amp module from JamUp Pro, no effects or recorder etc. and you can edit every single part of the amp, switching the transformer, changing the tone stack, switching preamp and power amp tubes etc. There's a full overview video and description here - http://guitarnoize.com/gear-demo-positi ... igner-app/

It's pretty amazing!

very cool app! if i had an ipad, i'd get it. lol

what periphery equipment do you need, though? Some kind of interface to plug your guitar in? And studio monitors?

Yes, you need adapter. They can be found for like $20 for a cheap one. $100 for better one.

It is just some adapter that connects guitar to ipad/iphone.

But you still might need an audio interface? That I do not know. There is a Jamup Pro thread from a few weeks back that may have more info.

I use a Griffin StudioConnect which is an iPad audio interface which is around $100, I plug in directly to that and then use the stereo outs to run into my Scarlett 2i4 audio interface that connects to my iMac. You can use headphones plugging them directly into the iPad of course and record in Garageband iOS or whatever or IK Multimedia make a powered Speaker called the iLoud specifically for iOS devices.

Very cool! Thanks!

I don't think I'd ever use this to record. But maybe to play live along with music from iTunes. How's the latency with the Griffin StudioConnect + Bias? Is there a noticeable delay; would I run into issues when trying to play along with prerecorded audio?

The latency is very low I recorded this demo track playing along to the drum track and barely noticed the latency

Got it this morning. Very welcome addition to JamUp. Really in depth, and the amps sound amazing. It's way cool to be able to customize them how you want them, EQ in front and back. I'm digging it; made a couple amps that are really fun to play this afternoon.

Got nothing as far as latency goes; using the Apogee Jam and it works perfectly. Pick one up if you can; this thing is a blast to mess around with.

The Jam and the app and all the packs are less than $150; best money I ever spent as far as a practice/jam tool.

Too bad BIAS isn't available for iPhone. I've really enjoyed JamUp.

Cool, I have a jam but need to buy a damn lightning cable for my new ipd. Damn $30 for some proprietary bs.
