First may or may not be the correct term. Technically, I ordered my first seven from Bernie during the Thanksgiving sale, but that's not done yet. My second seven is being worked on by Rob at KxK and probably won't be done until the end of the year (fingers crossed). I had ordered a cheap Legacy One a few months ago, but that thing was a disaster and got sent back without even getting pulled out of the box.

I considered being patient for the next few months until my BRJ and KxK were complete, but I simply cannot keep money in my pocket. A user on HC threw this guitar up looking for trades, but he said someone snaked it minutes before me. I jumped on ss.org a few minutes later and found that AdamofAngels was the one who got the guitar, and he wanted my Washburn WM526 Voodoo. I got super excited because he lives pretty close and had the guitar I wanted. He drove it over last night, and I fell in love....

F my life. This guitar is amazing! I've never really been a "guitar" whore. I'm pretty much an amp whore through and through though. I'll drop a few grand on a used amp without thinking twice, but up until last night, I had never spent more than $600 on a used guitar.

I have incredibly short fingers, but I can still make it rain on this guitar without any issues. I seriously can't even type fast enough to keep up with the thoughts racing through my head right now. It sounds amazing just playing it unplugged. I can hear the tone resonating so well. It's nothing short of astounding. I realize that it's a big jump going from a bunch of Indonesian made Ibanez guitars to this, but I feel like they shouldn't even be classified as the same type of instrument.

Everyone should try one of these at some point. Seriously....go....now!

Nice. I considered getting that one (or maybe a similar one) when I saw it for sale awhile back. I got a Schecter ATX 7 recently to see if I'd like a 7 string. It's alot of fun to play. Makes me want to go the custom route, as you did, with BR, KxK or Strictly 7. I just don't have the patience to wait for a build.

I'm sure you'll see a ton of BRJ 7's popping up soon. A lot of the people I know who jumped on that sale ended up buying different guitars because of the wait. I'm sure there will be a few that need a good home.

LOL. I fix electronic gas monitors. I also don't really have any other hobbies. My girlfriend fully supports my gear addiction as long as I don't say anything about her shoes.

Our camera guy has my Zoom Q3 that I use for video demos right now, so I'll try to put something together as soon as he finishes pulling some things off of the card.

Hell of a 7,congrats,i like to see cool "NGD's" That's a great playing guitar.

7s are a blast to play, opens your mind up to different scales/modes you may have otherwise overlooked

I must be in the wrong line of business, for you to get a BFR-7 to tied you over til your other two custom built 7's arrive must be rough.

I've been holding out for a Suhr Modern 7 custom build, but then at the same time, looking at high end mics and pres.

Electronic gas monitors eh?

Are all 7's baritones? I know you must add a low B, but is the scale long? I think baritone 6's are like 27"?

And yeah, you are going crazy if you bought a stock 7 to tide you over while you wait for TWO custom 7's. More power to you though. As long as you play the hell out of them.

I like the Agile Interceptor. It's cheap, and it's seveny. The pickups are actually not bad, and it looks great. Don't think I'm going to actually get one unless I change jobs or something. They also used to have a quilt maple in purple. No purple is a deal breaker for me.

I could see someone enjoying those EBMM BFRs more than some custom shops.

Yeah. The company is Industrial Scientific. They manufacture portable gas monitors that industrial works carry on them to monitor the safety of air levels. Miners, oil drillers, fireman, etc.

The vast majority of 7's are still only 25.5" scale. You don't really get a huge difference in string tension between 25.5, 26.5, and 27" scale guitars. I've had them all. I like the extra scale length, but I prefer the sound I get with 25.5" scale guitars right now. We'll see if my 26.5" BRJ or 27-25" scale KxK changes that.
