My Ibanez and a JAMES TYLER pickup

Right now I'm playing the Ibanez AS73 that my friend's wife gave me after he passed. It's getting a Seymour Duncan Jazz neck model in the neck and Rich from Tyler is very kindly sending me a JAMES TYLER Secret pickup for the bridge. The Secret is medium output. Anyone else used that pickup? The demos of it sound soooo good.

My mother died yesterday. @JackBootedThug called our friend Frank Marino, told him of my mom's passing and Frank called me. We gabbed for a good while.

The Secret pick up, which I have in one of my Tyler’s, will work well with the Jazz neck pick up because of the Tyler pickup’s, medium output.

Would be great to hear some Frank Marino news. I know I heard he’s coming out with new pedals, but I don’t think he could ship to the US at this point either so that sucks.

I’m still in a state of shock every time I speak with him but Frank is a one of a kind. I did hint about him maybe playing out but he said he had no desire to participate in that circus. Just a wonderful person. And brother Jonny is as well….

Very sorry about your mom.

I had a Tyler with that pickup. It was moderate output and sounded fine, but I'm not really picky. I can make it work with most pickups unless they are way dark/mushy or too strident/bright. The Secret was neither so was fine.
