picked up a behringer u-phoria interface and trying to dial it in with garage band.

recorded a nice little melody i have been developing recently, using my mojave peacemaker semi-clean with an xotic sp compressor.
then played some leads over it in 3 sections, in this order using my somewhat unique overdrive pedals:

1) customtone ethos overdrive aka dumble in a pedal
2) vertex modded plexitone for shreddier marshall playing
3) klamac arc furnace overdrive for srv texas tones

all through my effects rack (lexicon pcm80/korg dl8000r/tc gforce

sorry the levels are a bit low on the track but garage band is limited on mastering

Cool song and nice playing! It sounds like the base tones are good but it all sounds a bit distant and muffled. And I don't know what causes that.

As for the pedals, I liked the Marshally one the most. What a shocker. :D

great tones and playing! I was digging them all. was the Ethos what you used at the very end for those chords?

Thanks brotatoes!
The end was the plexitone crunch channel with boost off.

Sorry the levels are soft but it is literrally the first thing i have recorded in like a year and i just got this behringer umc204hd interface yesterday and downloaded gatage band on my daughter's laptop and hit REC!
anyone have tips on how to normalize the volume?
Is it an app or plug in for garage band?

I think behringer offers recording software and plug ins for the unit online too..

Nice job, I like the way you play.
mahalo!

it was kinda fun soloing over that
i pretended to be robben ford, eric johnson, yngwie, and srv (minus 100 billion hours of practice, skill, and experience!)

i'll work on the levels thing. i was a little paranoid because it was really easy to clip the interface, and garage band too.
i'm also experiencing some weird squealing feedback in my rack rig when i dial in more gain from my pedals and i'm not sure why unless maybe my amp's preamp tubes are going south.

Great stuff Pat! Tasty playing as always...

Which Plexitone are you using...? I assume the original 2 channel version...? What is the mod for it that you're referring to? I had one a few years back and got some amazing tones through a Marshall JH100 set clean-ish. Ch1 was set for classic rock and ch 2 for AIC type gain.

Thanks bro bro!

this is the 2 ch jobbie with some very cool mods:

vertex modded for more tone control and runs off standard boss type power supply

I vastly prefer the modded version. the only drawback regarding the mod is i feel like the pedal isn't as wild and headroomy as the original version with the built in power/cable but i could be imagining it. i did have the vertex and the stock side by side to compare.

For the record i felt the same way when i upgraded from the tc flashback to the x4.

Props to another great pedal maker off the beaten path

Homey plays that!

anybody else here rockin the ukulele house?

my quiver

and out of curiousity which wood grain do you guys like the look of better?

no ukulele love. got it. must be the lack of a floyd

second crack at clipville for the interface newb--tube still microphonic so my plexi tones are a bit enemic in le cranked tube balls department, which really hurts when no cabs are involved to smear the brown wood around, but not totally out of the picture..

Forgot to add the clean tone is how clean peacemaker is set, with sp comp always on, and pcm80 circular delay, korg dl8000 dual delay and gforce stereo dynamic delay/verb,

Then ethos overdrive with boost on for the fatter ej lead sound

Then plexitone crunch no boost for amazing grace

Then plexitone high gain w boost for eruption

I can get better hi gain sounds when my tubes are healthy
