But you should know, you will never get the investment back when you sell it.
True. But they will do anything you want. Even small repairs, etc.. I had Kim redo the headstock logo on an R* I sold and it was perfect. He said he did it exactly like a 59 burst. That there are subtle differences most would never notice. He knows all the nuances. Very impressive actually after talking with him several times. Congrats on that axe OP. I think you will flip out when you get it back.

they did a fantastic job, I knew it'd be nice, just never thought it'd turn out this nice. It should be back in my hands soon, I'll post later with some finished pics

Beautiful.

In other news. . .I'm going to need a larger photo of your avatar.

Gorgeous ... id pay money for that.

Its almost a Bourbon Burst but better looking.

I like the aged look of your original burst, but the refinish's burst is about 1,000 times better blended. Score another point for the private luthiers!

Thanks for posting this link! I didn't realize how much extra work was going on! I thought it was just a repaint! I wish I could find a place that can do a silverburst in nitrocellulose...

Kim is a good guy and has done a few Bursts for me as well.

That's incredible(although I wouldn't mind owning the before model either).
