My Looper Pedal is louder than my normal signal, what should I do?

I have a gig in a few days and I wanted to do live looping overdubs, but I am having an issue with the volume of the pedal (Ditto Stereo Looper).

For instance, I am playing the song in my desired volume with the pedal off, but when I get to the looping section and I press the pedal, the volume cranks up quite a bit and I don´t know what to do about it...

The pedal itself has a volume knob but it only works after the loop is recorded and played back, in other words, when I am recording the loop the volume is louder and I can only adjust the volume when I play it back

I don´t know what to do...

Thanks

Can't you just find unity volume and work with it that way? I don't see a different option with that pedal.

What amp are you using?

Also maybe consider getting a volume box/pedal for your amp's loop.

The amp I have my looper in (Recto) has a mix knob and I also have a volume box but it is in my other amp unrelated. Otherwise, not sure.

What else is in your signal chain? Are you sure all cables are good? It sounds like it could be a buffer issue. Like perhaps there is no buffer when pedal is OFF but there is when ON...and your signal gets louder.

Inside the pedal are dip switches, remove to cover and move the one that is "buffer" to off.

"True Bypass mode is a hard-wire bypass that gives absolutely no coloration of
tone when the pedal is bypassed. This is the default mode for your effect pedal
(switch down).
Using True Bypass on all pedals is a perfect choice in setups with a few pedals and
relatively short cables before and after the pedals.
If...

you use a long cable between your guitar and the first pedal or

if you use many pedals on your board or

if you use a long cable from your board to the amp,
...then the best solution will most likely be to set the first and the last pedal in
the signal chain to Buffered Bypass mode. Can you hear the difference between
a pedal in True Bypass or Buffered Bypass mode? Maybe, maybe not – many
factors apply: active/ passive pick-ups, single coil/humbucker, cable quality, amp
impedance and more. We cannot give a single ultimate answer, so experiment
with switch 2 in the "up" position to hear what sounds best to you."
