I wanted to try out a good 112 cab with a greenback, so I found a Traynor DHX12 for sale locally for $150...Made in Canada with baltic birch construction, and a greenback. It sounded OK, nothing special so I decided to try it with my Scumback XH75-LHDC that I have only previously tried in a small front loaded cab. Well I put it in that Traynor cab, and very cool, sounds as big as my port city 212, then I removed the cover for the rear vent, and my jaw dropped!!!!!!!!!! It was loud, clear, the floor was shaking, I could feel the bass in my chest...I had to check the cables to make sure my Port city cab wasn't going at the same time. It is like this cab and speaker are made for each other. I am just giving my ears a break before going back to do a head to head with my port city. But I think that this is a crazy combination.
I think that this might be the best bang for the buck cab ever. I will probably sell the greenback for about $90 locally making the cab cost me $60. I got the Scumback for $180 so total cost was $240 for a 112 that is blowing my mind!!!
