My new Fortin gainmonster mod.

I called Mike and asked him to build me a 1 off mod. We went through some ideas and options for a few months. This is the beast that he created. This is a complete rebuild. Its called the gainmonster. This thing has so much gain its unreal, plus its all usable. Mike you did it again brother.

Awesome.

What's special in it? are the tubes a mix of EL34+ 6550 ?

The amp is a combo of EL34 and 6550 and yes its a 100 watt 1983 JCM800. I will get some clips up as soon as I can. I started a new job and I am learning all these new operating systems that is taking up all my time at the moment.

I'm glad that you are digging it Paulie :thumbsup:

I had to make you something that was completely different from amps of you've had in the past as well as what you currently have in the stable. I hope that objective was met.

Since you now have 3 of my amps, I had to give this special trophy style plaque for your support :lol: :LOL:

This was a fun project, except for the chasing of the hum problem. A couple more to work through from the old batch of mods. I hope that I can free up some more time in the future to do more one offs like this.
