Just got this delivered today:

This amp is way more versatile than it looks. I just can't stop playing it. Ever since I heard of this amp it has been a dream amp of mine. I can't believe that I own one now!

I can't to hear how it sound in rehearsal tomorrow.

Thanks, lyres requiem!

Now I have a couple Mesa amps to sell to make up the money spent on the Diezel.

Congrats! I felt the same exact way when I got my Einstein. I was a OD pedal junky and now I don't have a single OD/distortion box on my pedal board (but I've been thinking bout adding a fuzz box). Anyway Thank you Peter Diezel!!
I'll have another Diezel in my amp stable in the future!

Congrats on your VH4! I was big time Mesa guy for years, after I got my VH4S the first amp to go was the Recto then the Blue Angel, then the Maverick, then the Hearbreaker and then finally the Traxis/2:Ninety rig. It's not that the VH4 cops all the tones that the Mesas were capable of but my taste in tone changed. The Mesa stuff had a very fizzy quality to high gain settings and I got used to having four channels and I love the MIDI capability.

Welcome to the family!

I don't even think I need an OD pedal anymore after getting the VH4. I do use an Xotic EP Booster and it does sound pretty nice with the VH4.

I think I still might pick up a Mesa sometime down the road. I really liked the Royal Atlantic, there was just something to it. The four channels and tones from the VH4 sold me though.

Tone report....

Absolutely CRUSHING!!!

Channel 1 is nice and clean, but have played Mesa amps for years I would have to say Mesas have some of the best clean channels around. But I knew that the clean channel on the VH4 might not be as good as Mesa before buying the VH4. No super sparkly cleans ala Fenders/Mesas, but still the cleans are way better than like a 6505 for example. Surprisingly you can get a pretty good funky clean sound out of it.

Channel 2 is where the classic rock (for me) tones live. Nice and open sounding distortion.

Channel 3 is very dynamic and has tons of gain. I only have the gain up halfway, but you can do an amazing job of controlling it with your guitar's volume knob. You can probably play a whole rock set list on this channel alone!

Channel 4 is insane! Lots of gain, more compressed than channel 3. Great for solos and if you EQ it right it can be another great hard rocking rhythm channel.

Please tell me the serial number

Do you want me to just post the serial number here on this thread? Or is there another way to contact you?

Also, I have a tube fault light on and I have no idea how I am going to change the tube. With the Mesas I didn't have to worry about biasing and all that...

Biasing the amp is easy and strangely fun/satisfying. There are great tutorials posted on the forum if you search.

Congrats on the amp! Definitely my favorite amps.

I'm so envious. You can get a decent used car for the price of a Diezel.

Just got my VH4 rebiased with KT77s and it sounds amazing.

The amp tech couldn't stop raving about the workmanship and design. It was his first time ever seeing a VH4.

Great work, Peter and the Diezel team!

I took my Hagen to a local amp builder to get some minor work done and he was very impressed with the build quality and how clean everything was, not to mention amazed at the tone of the amp  .
I think it was the first time he had ever looked inside of a Diezel..
