A friend of mine in Germany came up with this pedal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MGSTBwCDVA

Its basically a tube screamer with a wider sweep on the tone control and a tweaked TC Integrated Pre Amp on the other side. So basically two distinct types of boost in one pedal. We have been kinda exchanging messages back and forth during the development and usually when someone tells me of some "great" product idea they have Im usually too jaded to give a shit or too much of a hater to want to see it come to fruition. With this I think its well thought out and pretty logical plus I think he is selling these for around 130-140 (although he is in Germany so not sure about the shipping rates to the U.S)

It was nice to have a conversation with a guitarist and talking about a product we would like to see then see them actually build it. I have one on the way so I have pretty high hopes from it having heard different variations until getting to this final version. I always get the latest and greatest $220 boost only to find myself going back to the tried and true Maxon 808. Hopefully this one will be good enough to replace it.

He has a few more products in the works that seem pretty obvious but nobody has made yet that Im really looking forward to.

Very cool idea. I like options with pedals since I use them for more then one amp.

I’m having a custom pedal made that is basically two TC integrated preamps in one. This way I can have them adjusted differently for the same amp. Like rhythm and lead settings. Of course I’m just waiting for the builder to make it sooner than later.

Ive started tinkering with building amps. I would love just to build exactly what I want. Even though there are probably dozens of amps that would be the same thing I would build. It would be nice to know every little detail of your amp/pedal and know its the best possible version for you.

One of my friends has the Pepers Pedals Dirty Tree and he sounds amazing with it. I had a Fortin blade and hated it although Im not sure if that is based on the TC. Im more of a 808 guy or klon. I do love the idea of having two very different options on the same pedal though.

Funny you mention Pepers’ because that’s who I’m working with.

The dual TC Integrated Preamps in one is a great idea

I want to grab a Satanist from him at some point. I've had a dirty tree in my shopping cart probably a dozen times but never pulled the trigger. I had a friend who was using the Dirty Tree into an 800 and it sounded killer. I think he had a video of it on Ola's Guess the tone videos and Ola was really digging it. I think he switched to the HotMod v2 as his main tone now though.

There are several great small pedal builders in the high gain market that deserve more love. Definitely need to check out the highwind direwolf soon. With that said I tend to always relapse to my Maxon OD808. The only pedal that I've used as consistently as the maxon is the vfe standout
