here is the list of crap I have to work with
voodoo labs power supply and amp switcher
morley bad horsie II wha
mxr micro amp
boss octaver
dod icebox chorus (for the piezo pup in the moores)

what I may add, auto wha (glorified envelope filter, I know)

core one pedal board

what I already know I am going to need

micro amp to the bottom right, icebox to the top right

I normall have the amp switcher to the bottom left, but that can change as well.

would you put the wha before or after the octaver, the auto wha and why (I would like to be a bit more educated, for all the crap I have lying around, I really dont use a ton of floor boxes anymore)
for time based effects I have rack gear that runs thru the loop on the jvm, and the jmp only gets effects from what hits the front.

I want to set this thing up, and then never detach a cable again. I even want to be able to leave the stereo guitar cable hooked up to the box, and just be able to open it, plug it into the rig, and go. I am sure you can all understand that one

also, besides velcro, what would you use to fix the pedals in place?

just wondering if there were any other options out there, maybe metal or composit screw down type brackets

xcuse my bad english, but most bikes get their power via a chain (except BMWs). Y

ou can use bike-chain-parts, the single "members" looking like an "8" - to fix pedals with two screws onto your pedalboard.

Well, you see, I still need to learn a lot in english but I hope that you get the idea . . .

I use the Velcro for mine but I have seen screw down adapters on ebay. The Velcro works real well and the only downside is having to put it on your pedal. My pedalboard is 16" X 32" and loaded up around 85%. The pedals stay in place. I used the George L style cables and mounted power supplys on the underside of the Pedaltrain frame.

thats a great idea! Thanks!

were gigging anywhere from 2 to 5 times a month, and the board does get tossed around a bit, I just dont want any chance of them flying around in there.

Glue?

Yeah, I really wasn't serious. I had been up for about two days and was extremely sarcastic at the time. Anyway, if you don;t mind putting velcro on your pedal, they do make ectremely heavy duty velcro that will hold pretty much anything to anything. The velcro will come off before the velcro will come apart! It's not hook-and-loop kind, but plastic on both sides. they lock together and are almost impossible to pull apart. Your pedals won't go anywhere though!

the problem I had with velcro was it coming off the back of the pedals
had it all set up nice, got to the gig, and it looked like a big old train wreck when I opened the box up, hence my looking for a more permanent solution.

Did you really clean the back of the pedals? They need to be really clean before you affix the Velcro. Also, cheap velcro comes with cheap adhesive, so that may also have been a problem. I got some velcro from Walmart   , but my despise of walmart aside, I haven't had any problems with any of my pedals coming off...I have the Bad Horsie Wah, LF7, ISP Decimator, and Aphex velcro'd to a shelf in my rack. When I transport my rack, I always flip it on it's face so it doesn't roll around in the trailer. I also don't have a cover for the front of it. the pedals haven't moved a bit. Still very solid. So, maybe I'm just lucky, :dunno: but definitely clean the pedal surface. Any dirt or crud already there will work adversely against the adhesive. You might also try fashioning some fabric strips as straps to hold the pedals to your board?

I ended up going the velcro/crazy glue route. put it all together, and then snaked the 3 1/4" cables thru some split cable tubing which will make set up and tape down a ton faster as well. So far so good. ;)

You need to put a few small dabs of Superglue on the sticky side of the velcro. It won't peel off after that. (no, I'm not joking-I've set up my own pedalboard like that).

I used glue as well, nothing to be ashamed off. Who cares if the pedal will always have Velcro on the bottom of it, I really don't mind...

Most pedals use a variation of a #6 sheet metal screw for the back plate.
Using a tab or a chain link sometimes adds too much thickness for the screw to hold firmly.
I just drill and tap two corners for a #8-32.
The #29 drill removes very little material from the hole where the #6 screw was.
The #8-32 fasteners fit through the rubber feet just fine.
