I tune almost all my guitars different and have different pickups for a wide variety of tones/sounds, so I figured I might as well throw together a quick video with some of them. I didn't include any guitars with single coils.
I have EMG81, Seymour Duncan AHB3 Seven Mick Thompson Signature Blackout, Carvin M22 6/7 string, Switch, Ibanez V8, DeArmond, &'SD Live Wire Metal in Drop Q tuning!
Obviously it's not meant to be a direct comparison, just to give a general idea of the tones/sounds for these pickups with different tunings.
1. Switch Vibracell E standard oem pickup
2. Ibanez RG D V8 oem pickup
3. B.C. Rich Bich C#Carvin M22
4. Jackson COW Drop C SD AHB3
5. Carvin DC727 B Carvin M22 passive/active
6. Ibanez RG Drop A# EMG 81
7. DeArmond S-67 A# oem pickup
8. Home Made Guitar Drop Q SD Live Wire Metal
