i bought this guitar when it was 6 months old in '99 from a friend. i stripped it and painted it 5 times since then. i also installed EMG's in 2002 and wired it like a les paul. in 2007 i took it apart and planned on a customization/restoration.

i'm just now getting around to it.

the plan is to build a new body out of mahogany or maple with a quilt top. i'm using an 81TW at the bridge and a pair of P-60 mini humbuckers in the neck and middle position. i'm using a master tone, 1 volume for bridge, 1 volume for neck/middle and a 6 way rotary switch.

i havent decided on a color yet. i'm painting the back and sides black and considering either dividing the top and side color with binding or just fading from black to the stain color like my current MH-350NT. right now i'm thinking aqua blue, dark orange, dark red, etc.
