Yeah about two years in the works but done at last.
I tried to go artsy but when I got to the photo location I had the wrong lens on the camera but they came out ok.
Switchback PRE CNC body double bound Alder
Greaztgeo George supplied neck, c shaped with 6105 type frets and tinted finish which has about 4 hours of work on it to take down some of the poly and dress the frets.
Schaller vintage tuners installed by Greazy George
Solid brass bridge correct to Andy's.
1963 re-issue controls re-wired with 1950's Western Electric telephone switch machine cloth wires, stole that idea from Jol.
60's period tri-burst with very thin nitro, you can hear a "tick" when you push a pin hard enough it is so thin. This was done by a Fender CS contractor and you can see there is zero orange peal, the finish is off the charts.
1980s SD 59 in the neck, SD CS Squire in the bridge supplied by Chubtone.
NOS brass strap buttons from Chubtone.
Thanks to Ratter Mike, Chubtone, and Greazygeo for the parts and great advice. Sounds like a great tele not that I have been playing much this summer between boatting season and coaching travel soccer. Total cost with labor to complete the set-up was around $1500, $450 was the paint alone, which was more than I wanted to spend at first but it was coming together so well I went all top shelf parts and labor.
