Has this done some time ago but Samm8's thread got me nostalgic.

Here's the before:

Here's the finished product:

Upgrades:
• Bound ebony board
• Trapezoid inlays
• Moved input jack to bottom wing
• Metallic black w/silver
• Schaller locking tuners
• Custom pick guard/truss Rod cover
• Filled part of the route to accommodate 50's
Styled Pick guard
• Duncan Custom/Full Shred

Traded a used Line 6 Pod XR Floor and $60 cash for it. The refinish was about another $600

Thats awesome! Looks great. Where'd the new neck come from?

Thanks man. Same neck, just replaced the fretboard. Nothing but heating up some glue and taking the old one off.

Who did the work ??
A guy here named Jim Poisson at Advanced Guitars did it. He'd been setting my stuff up for years. When I got the guitar the fretboard was lifting at the nut. He said he could re-glue it. We started talking about the refinish and here she it.

Sleek, bet it sounds awesome too.
Thanks man. It's a shredder for sure.

Nice. Moving the input jack = WIN.
Yeah that was a must!

Beautifully done, congrats
Thanks man!

Looking to switch to covered pickups. Not sure if black with chrome rings or chrome covered with black rings.

OR... Distressed Bareknuckle's

It looks too new for distressed pickups. Covered pickups would be my choice...

Exactly what I was thinking. Putting the jack on the pickguard is just dumb.
Looks killer Dude!!!

Looks great!
I always loved the look of V's...but never could gel playing them.

Thanks man! I get a lot of questions on it at shows. I need to get a Gibson decal for the headstock. I feel it's ok to put on there since it IS a USA made Gibby. Some folks mentioned elsewhere that it was false advertising …

Fuck if I know!

Really? I find sitting or standing, they are THE ultimate guitars to play. Not interference getting to the high frets at all. I personally can;t play Les Pauls so ...

Agreed. Most comfortable guitar EVER. Your guitar looks absolutely gorgeous. Nicely done, sir.

I had Jim do all my work when I lived in Vegas. Good dude and a master luthier!
