I decided to give it a shot. No cheap shots on my attempt to play the lead. I had to improvise some of it since I didn't have time to learn it note for note. I put a quick decay delay on the rhythm tracks to create some space and some "wetness" as well.

Either way, here you go! (BTW, this was done with my Mark IV).

That sounds great.
Huge Savy fan. Really nice.

Me too! I miss Criss Oliva. What a great and tasteful player.

nice clip, man.the delay "wetness" sweetens it up...i can listen to Criss Oliva-style "chops/tones" all day long!!!

Sounds great. I really like the rhythm tone. Did Savatage switch songers along the way sometime? This doens't sound like the fat guy that had in the band....... :D

Kick ass---the Mark IV sounds massive!

It is massive! The only other amp I would like to have some time with is a Splawn QR but I can wait to add that to my rig. I just can't see myself giving up the Mark IV. Its inherent tonal capabilities are written into my DNA!

Thanks! Criss had a really cool "wet" rhythm tone. You can really hear it on Lights Out from Edge of Thorns.

Your turn Jason! I can't wait to hear how the Bogner XTC and your fingers interpret the tune.

I think it was with this particular release. I believe his name is Zak Stevens. Had a really cool voice and fit the music really well. Jon Oliva (Criss's brother) was the original vocalist.
