My take on Knaggs...

So I got my first Knaggs on a trade. The original black/pink Steve Stevens sig.
I was taking leap of faith on that one as I don't follow Steve, I don't play Les Pauls, never played Knaggs, and I don't like pink on my guitars. The deal was kinda sweet so I went for it.
I am blown away by this guitar! I was always skeptical about boutique guitars, I thought that after ESP standard or USA Jackson there was not much room for improvement, so I could not justify extra ton of cash boutiques demended...that was until I got my first Suhr (s1 pro). After that I could not stop eye balling the high ends. However, Suhrs did not sound right to me (any of the 4 I had... Pro, 2 Moderns, 1 standard) but the build and playability made me wanna find one that I would keep.
Well, I traded Suhr for Knaggs( to see if its any better) and it has everything I was looking for in terms of sound and playability (the pickups not on my "top 5" but I can deal with them).
So yeh, here is the picture of what I have, and that Knaggs right now is my favorite guitar. I am a believer now and trying to convert all of my "loyalist"(only ESP, or only USA Jackson) buddies to try something new.

p.s. I love that pink binding in person!!!!

p.p.s. The guitars are: ESP DV8, artist owned USA Strat, ESP Hanny, JP6 all rosewood neck, ESP Truckster, Knaggs SS1, Dean USA NAMM 14 (one of), Schecter(!!!!!)

You probably like the pickups more than what suhr offers. Did your knaggs come with BKPS?

Congrats on a killer guitar!! I had been eyeballing the one in the classifieds too...sweet guitar to say the least!

Who owned the strat?

In Russia, they have band called "Aria". They used to be peerless in the metal scene over there(probably still are), sometimes were called 'Russian iron Maiden'. Changed couple singers since their glory days though. Right now on tour for their 30th anniversary.
The guitar is their founder's, Vladimir Holstinin.

p.s. that's the one in the picture

Yeh, I don't jell with Suhr pick ups at all.
These are BK Steven's signature

Cool! Congrats. Looks like a nice thick sounding axe.

Which one man? Real Pics or GTFO

If it's the one in the middle front, I like the shape. Knaggs eh?

welcome to Knaggs!! great guitars!! i have an ss2 in creme and a keya in white both are fantastic guitars!! enjoy

I am glad you are enjoying the Knaggs! I was very tempted to keep it for myself, but alas GAS got the best of me.

Im in the same boat with you on Suhr guitars. Owned several and played a bunch of them at a dealer close by. They play nice but the tone IMO is not where it should be, I've tried changing pickups in them. I went through a phase of buying and trading them to find a good one and it didn't happen.

Now to make a fair comparison I've owned several Anderson guitars which all sound great , I hate to bash Suhr because the build quality is very good, my flame suit is on but I think it's time Suhr started sourcing there wood from elsewhere.
