Im calling it Bradshaw on a budget...
It used to be this;
As you can see, there really isnt anything new other than the Dunlop Rack Wah and the Furman. I swapped out the GCX for the Rocktron Patchmate( the GCX was on loan from my bro Ralphie) I really dig the added features of the Rocktron and got it at a ridiculously good price.
I got an OSP 10sp Shock FX rack for dirt cheap brand new and its a HUGE improvement over the crappy SKB.
In the Pedal tray, I have a Whammy 4, a Phase 90, MojoVibe( Ill be swapping that from time to time with my Effectrode Tube Vibe) and a Fulltone ultimate octave. Obviously, all pedals are patched into the patchmate and everything in the patchmate feeds the front of the amp. The Patchmate also takes care of my Channel switching on the Boogie
The only thing through the MkIV's FX loop is the Intellifex LTD and it sounds glorious!! I paid 199 bucks for it and Ill put it up against everything from Lexicon to Eventide in a live situation.
The Signal Chain is as follows; X2 reciever>Boss TU2 pedal tuner( both mounted on a mini slanted board velcrod to the top of the rack)>Rack Wah>Patchmate>Boogie
I wired everything up with George L's and routed all signal long the Right side and custom cut all power cables and routed them up along the left side to the Furman. Its not what you would see from the Daves or Bob but I dont think it sucks either.. Its a helluva lot cleaner than the beachball sized tangle of wires that you to pour out of my old rack whenever I took the cover off!!
I mounted both Pedal Powers to a 2sp rack Blank because The FX rack was too shallow to mount them with my pedals in the tray. The Rack Cover clears them without any problems and room to spare.
The pedalboard was made by Tom over at Pedal Racks and he did an incredible job with it, I couldnt ask for anything more. It fits my pedals perfectly and hides all wires as well as being very easy to set up and break down at gigs. All I have to do is open the lid in front of the pedals, Make 3 connections for the Remote Volume,Remote Wah and MIDI and Im good to go. Jody over at Pedalsnake hooked me up with an Awesome custom pedalsnake that links the board to the rack. Im thinking about having Dave over at LA sound build me a take off box/interface to install in the rack to make things even easier than they already are.
The 3 pedals on the Board do the following(from left to right)Expression pedal for Whammy and whatever, Remote Volume and Remote Wah
I still have to program the presets and what not but Im not anticipating any problems with that, especially since all of my MIDI components are Rocktron and my patches are ridiculously simple.
And thats it, I basically have my dream rig. I can easily use it with other heads, substitute pedals as I see fit and get my sound without problems. Im a happy camper!!!
