Finallllly figured out specs for this beast! I originally was going to get a flat top superstrat sort of thing but the more I thought about it the more boring the idea seemed so I decided to go with David's awesome Sungazer shape.

Basically, it will be this but in 7 string flavor with no f-holes but chambered and 24 frets along with a few other design tweaks that make it less traditional and more shreddy.

Full Specs:
Body: Honduran Mahogany
Neck: Honduran Mahogany
Top: 1-piece flamed Eastern maple
Fingerboard: Ebony
Knobs, tuner buttons: ebony
Binding (neck and body only), pickguard, pickup rings: cream plastic
Scale Length: 25.75"
Fretboard radius: 16"
Frets: 24 stainless medium
Neck carve reference: C-shape - medium/thin
Pickups: Bare Knuckles humbuckers in cream
Electronics and Switching: Master Volume, Master Tone, 5-way
Bridge: Recessed tune-o-matic with Myka string-Through wooden tailpiece
Tuners: Locking Hipshot Trimloks
Hardware: Chrome
Logo: Pearl
Side dots: Pearl
Finish: Hard shellac gloss on top with lemon burst, satin back and neck

Belly cut, chambered


I opted for a top that isn't too figured, more of a subtle flame with mineral streaks as IMO super flamed maple looks a little odd on LP types sometimes.

That body shape is really seductive. I really like the f-holes on it...even a modern flair to them, if you will.
 
Thanks guys, took me like a year or two to figure out what I wanted to do with my slot but I think this was a good choice.
