MesaBoogie Mark Five:35
Been wanting one of these since trying one out a few months ago and haven't seen any on local used market. I went back to the MesaBoogie store to see if it was as good as I remember it being...and had to pull the trigger. The consistency between the 10watt and 35watt modes is fantastic (the regular Mark5 sounds/feels completely different in the lower wattage settings to me), plus...it's the loudest 35watts I've ever heard, so it can actually be used in some full-band environments...which makes it super useful to me. I'll leave the sexy adjectives on the flexibility of the clean-to-overdrive tones to their advertising...but whatever they're saying, I back them up. WOW, this thing gets a ton of excellent sounds super easy at any level!!

Thanks guys, it's really a great amp! I'm not used to one that has the same personality at both living room and rehearsal room volumes. (crazy!)

Cool man. Got to love an amo that sounds great at bedroom volumes and just gets better and better as you turn it up...

Heck yea. There are so many super-cool 20ish watt amps around for home/studio use, but this 35watt-max switchable power zone is actually loud enough for a loud rhythm section, which I don't remember older amps less than 50watts being able to do. That said, I'll probably be investing in some sort of one or two 12" cab to move more air for those uses.
