Hello

I was wondering which Two Notes bit of gear I could plug just a guitar head into, therefore the box will be doing the cab sim and any necessary attentuation. From there into my audio interface.

Thanks in advance!

No, he meant that the Torpedo Live, or the Torpedo Studio would both allow you to simply plug in your amp without having it connected to a cab and provide the proper load for the head.

The Torpedo Studio has more I/Os and overall better quality than Torpedo Live, but both units will let you achieve what you want.

There is another option which is Torpedo Reload, there is no embedded speaker sim but for recording you can use our plugin Wall of Sound III.

Hey cool - is Wall of Sound 3 the same cab sims as you'd get in the live/ studio box? In what way is the quality better for the Studio by the way.

Also is there a power amp sim for bass?

Studio and WoS III offer more options, and Studio an overall better electronics (even if Live/CAB are very good already). Please take a look at that table:

I'll explain the terms you don't understand. ;)

Power amps for bass are not really different from the guitar ones. You have many options ont the pow amp section so you get a great result for bass or guitar. ;)

Thank you very much for the quick replies and informative responses - I think I will go for the studio!

Next decision is which Amp head!

If you lot knew how much money I've spent looking for amp sim/ modeller solutions, and there's been one staring me in the face I never even thought about allowing me to use a real tube head....

I feel sick

I've decided to go for the Diezel D-Moll - 100 watts would that be fine with the Studio?

That's exactly what I have and would highly recommend the Studio(TS) :D

The main prob with the d-moll is that you can't try it out though, it's either gonna be that, Blackstar Series One 6l6, or the Marshall JVM410H.... Decisions decisions
