The Magica arrived a few days ago and the cab just got here today. The Achillies 2x12 has a Greenback on top and a Vintage 30 on the bottom. Tonally it's a perfect match. While I was waiting for the new 2x12 I tried the Magica through my 4x12 with the Redback/Creamback H75 x-pattern, and it just didn't sound right. But through the Greenie/V30 mix, it sounds ace! The Magica gets really nasty when boosted. And it rips for single-note soloing. But the Magica's best trick is its clean tones. Sparkly gorgeous cleans.
And the best part... running the Magica rig in stereo with the Hermansson rig sounds flat out amazing. I'm so stoked with this setup. The Magica is a little smoother than the Hermansson, but it compliments the Hermansson's thumping attack perfectly. And it fills out the EQ spectrum really well.
