Hi my name is Brad and I am a Ampaholic

Not sure why these Marshall Vintage Modern's get slagged on the forums, I know a bunch of name players tour with these including Slash, Yngwie J. Malmsteen & Jerry Cantrell from AIC. I think it sounds awesome and raw and very "Marshally" with plenty of harmonic musical gain.

Man I gotta stop buying amps as I am running out of room and my wife thinks I am a fuckin lunatic and have a problem but I use all of them so WTF

A few pics of the VM and a few other tone machines.

Bogner Fish Preamp, Suhr Badger 30 Head and Cab and Marshall Hendrix Purple "Barney" Stack inbound as well.

To quote my buddy Mark Day from The Sam Hill Band "Man I love this shit"!

Nice collection

Thanks, funny though as I am no collector. I play the stuff or I get rid of it. I cant stand having something sitting around collecting dust

This bunch of gear is all in rotation which is nice.

Are you getting the Badger 30 soon? I would like to hear what you think of it, or maybe some clips! :D

It is on the brown party truck as we speak (UPS). Should see it sometime next week with the matching 1x12" Suhr cab. I will post up some clips when I get it. I am hoping it will be the perfect solution to play a small gig with a few pedals out front and a Suhr Mini Mix.

What is with the bogner wall of doom, is that 2 XTC's in a wet dry setup

Nice set of amps.

I am the same way as you are, if I don't use the gear, out the door it goes....

Les Paul --> Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah --> Fulltone Stereo Deja Vibe --> Stereo Out to both heads --> Eventide Timefactor in Stereo in the loops.

Sounds Insane!

Yeah man Congrats!! I owned the 2466. I will own another someday. Lots of folks bag on it. I don't get it at all. I love that amp. Very sweet rock tone IMO. Right now I'm digging my DSL 100, but would like to add a VM in the future.

I am still loving that rack!!!

TGP beats the crap out of the VM for some reason, I thihk it is a killer amp for the money!

Damn, what's the name of your band? I'd love to hear some of this killer stuff in action. Do you guys have a MySpace page?

I love your shit aswell :scared: I mean your gear. I agree the VM is a very good sounding amp. I played one at GC for about 45 minutes and loved it. I think it is not compressed enough for most people. I love it just the way it is. I will propbably pick one up early next year if I come across a good deal.

I really liked the VM I played. Epitome of Marshall.

IMO, it's the other 'modern' Marshall that should get dogged. But it don't. :gethim:

I love my VM 2466. It's perfect for what I do. The VM with the gain set low and a BB Preamp sounds killer.
