This is a Triple Rec Solo head version, which doesn't have the multi-watt settings. 150 watts of sheer brutality, here's a clip.

I got it from a reputed Jampad and equipment hire firm that was shutting shop. Quite sad really, I've had some good times in their rehearsal rooms and made lots of friend there.

None of my amps is 150 watts! Luckily. I have a Power Station, so I can run it as hot as I like without having to blow the roof off. The headroom is really interesting, I'm pushing it and it comes across as very articulate and punchy.

Some pics, it was just serviced by Goose, the gentleman who makes Goosonique pedals.

My last one was a 25-watt beastie, the Mark V. While it was punchy, I would always gravitate towards my bigger amps and I sold it. Regretted it immediately afterward, but this NAD fills the void easily.

I really like the Triple Rec. I’ve played them all except a Rev F, and they were all great.

Congrats! I also just grabbed another Triple, it's a small logo black/chrome Rev G from 95. They are actually more like 120w, but it's plenty for me. I like the Triples way more than the duals, which seem to have a tubby low end I can never dial out even with a boost. I've been running it with another new amp in my stable, a Mark IIC+ Coliseum(GEQ, Reverb) 1X15 combo. I have to do a NAD soon...I'm gonna send the Triple in to Mesa for a checkup and possibly have Mike B do the Rev C Mod....but it does sound killer with a boost now so I'm on the fence with the mod.

I love the triples, i have a multi-watt triple arriving this week. I owned alot of duals over the years and a couple triples, and when i took the urge for another recto this week i went for another triple.

great tube power, i want my next amp to be 150w out of 4 6550

This really is a nice amp to play. I've been messing with it all day, and it has an interesting aggression to it. Very dark, very heavy.

Unlike some of my other amps, this one does not sound good at just any setting. You really have to tweak to get it to a sweet spot, which can vary from instrument to instrument. For example, on a seven string, I managed to get a really nice singing tone, but when I plugged in an eight string, the low end was overpowering and everything turned to mush/mud.

In that regard, if you are using this amp on stage with more than one guitar, I could imagine running into problems. That isn't definitive, that eight string of mine is a real monster, it really goes low and has a baritone scale. When I did things the other way, i.e. plug in the seven string later, I had a very nice tone.

I was wondering whether how the amp would sit with a mix with another amp, it really is very dark and I was worried that it might not cut when there were more instruments. But my fears were unfounded.

Here it is next to a mighty VH4. Definitely holds its own, and gives the low end some real beef that I like a lot.

Congrats! That's a lot of glass!!!

I love the MW dual recto I got. Gets tight as f$ck when clean boosted; as tight as most of my other amps in fact. Gonna throw some E34L in there and then swap to KT77 one of these weekends to see what they bring to the amp.

My dual loves E34L's. I have not experimented with KT77's though.
