NAD Baron B60 Review

I had a Splawn Quick Rod, very nice amp and it was close to being "it" for me, but my experience was that it was kind of a one trick pony. And even with the master volume in the loop it was a hard beast with which to tame and find the sweet spot. The Baron's levels offer better flexibility and it sounds good both at low and high volumes. And frankly, most of the Baron clips don't do the amps justice. Like anything, they might not be for everyone but I can say with confidence that my amp flipping days are over for a long while at least.

I know what I want these days so I buy to keep....so I am OK buying lesser know amps like Baron. I am looking for a killer Plexi to JCM 800 to modern high gain Marshall like A Perfect Circle or Alice In Chains.
We do classic rock through grunge and modern rock and hard rock. Speakers will be mostly Greenbacks and Lynchbacks.
Any thoughts on the B60? I was close to getting the Splawn Streetrod head, I like the features, three modes, two gain levels, less and more or rhythm and lead, the second is a thickening and a solo boost. All available on the footswitch!

I would love to play one next to a Splawn.

Awesome. All the amps from Baron really impress me from what I have heard and seen.

I still have the K88 pictured in my icon and just fricking love it.

I would consider a Ceriatone Chupakabra as well especially when the two channel is released in a few months.
I wish I could get a hold of Baron to see if he can give me a solo boost on the board with a sluggish gain boost.
