This 15-18 watt 6v6 based amp totally kicks ass! The cleans are unreal and the dirty channel is pretty hip too. Vey classic sound like an old Blackface but punchier and rich. and its probably the loudest 18watts Ive ever heard..the louder it is the better it sounds!

Nice. Does it have the pull gain on the lead channel? How gainy is it? The only thing I didn't like about the one I had was it lacked a little on the dirt front but that was before they added the gain boost...

Congratulations! I spy a scolloped neck, is the an Yngwie strat?

yes it does. but honestly i havent really used that too much because i prefer the slight dirt and boost with a clean boost pedal. But yes with the switch pulled out it definitley gets a little more gainy but again in my ears not over the top. I havent plugged a humbucker guitar into this yet just strats, so im sure you'll get more sauce if your using the HB'ers.

thanks Shawn. Yes that an older model YJM strat from 2000...a tone machine!

Congrats on the NAD. I had a Duende 30W 6L6 head. You are right, the cleans are extraordinary. I did not care for the dirty channel at all and sold it. When you kicked in the extra gain stage it got really saturated but was very loose. I like my gain tighter in the low end and more compressed. I ended up selling it. It worked great with my band playing rock and roll covers. I probably should have kept it but I kept trying to do higher gain stuff which it really isn't meant to do and ended up getting rid of it. Great amp for cleans, blues and classic rock stuff though. I really had to fight it to play any kind of lead, probably a testament to my poor technique.

bet is sounds awesome in your hands my man. bogner makes sweet stuff.

are you NAMMing this year?

yep. totally classic. If I want Brown Heavan I got Marshalls for that. But even soo the gain channel takes tweaking...i can get a great robben ford or eric jonson tone pretty damn close and Van Halen territory with the right guitar and boost pedal. not a metal modern style vide. u do have to dig in, but IMO thats where the good tone is at coming from the power tubes. great design. im reallly intrigued with 6V6's...

Congrats on your duende! I have one also, they are cool amps with a lot of different tones available between the two channels and blending them. I like the creamy od tones I get on chan 2. I have tried different nos rectifier tubes and really liked the results. I put a nos 5y3 in and it sounds best but lost a touch of volume.

Very cool, Nice little combo.

I'd like to place my Budda SD18 next to it and have a 'tone' battle. :D

Dude, are you still loving this combo. Update us please? I was heavily contemplating attaining one of these in the future. The look so fab!
