cool man, I got a Ceriatone 1987 and it is my main recording amp.

The only way to record it is through my cell phone. But let me say this thing is great. The master volume helps a lot. And chaining together the inputs really makes it versatile.

Only 4 days left till I get my JCM800 too. Thats going straight to Frank Levi for the #39 mod but looks like the Plexi will work fine.

great score, you just cant beat those for the money you spend

900$. Great buy for sure.

I see you have a KS mod on your Plexi. I bet you love it JTyson. Am i right? Are you able to get those great Plexi cleans with it still?

 I do, its a killer amp. Dave does great work, his take on plexi mods is a very good one, but no, it will not sound the same as a stk plexi circuit. They are big, fat, and beautiful ;) Dave's mods are big and beautiful in a .50 caliber machine gun kind of way, they do roll off well, and are very usable (very much so) but dont sound like a stk plexi circuit as far as cleans go
I would love to have another stk one to keep as is, but its down the list a bit at the moment. I have too many mod projects to finish first

Hmm. When I get my 2203 back from Frank Levi I may send Dave my Plexi..... I love the clips on Youtube. Of all those amps you have what do you use for cleans?

I never heard of Landgraff..

The JVM. Its not perfect, but it works with the McCarty's switched to single-coils. I'm still waiting on the Landgraff (3 years) :aww:
He has a unique take on Marshall mods, they are more plexi-meets-Dumble than hot-rodded Marshall gain monsters. You have to be patient to get John's stuff, but they are worth the wait. He is easy to communicate with, and a really nice guy. He is more about quality of gain than having 6 tons of it. They roll off beautifully to a nice shimmering, chimey clean
Good stuff ;) I look forward to getting it soon

Wow. I cant believe but I just got another 80s 2203. Bid a low bid on ebay 2 weeks ago and just got the email.

3 Marshalls in one week and one more at the end of the month. I was not expecting this.

they are good amps. Im just now starting to see some PTs go. I have had several customers from a couple years back looking to replace PT's now.

get a great deal, play it , when PT goes upgrade to something and your still ahead of the game.

Shoot. Kinda.

Got an email today from ebay. I was the top bidder on another JCM800 2203 from the 80s. Another one! 3 amps in four days lol.

Wow, I wish I had the problem of receiving 3 Marshalls this week. Having to pay for them is another matter...

Even if u upgrade the trannies etc, they still are great especially for the money and make great workhorse gig rigs or great mod platforms as u dont have to worry about butchering an original.
