What an amp! I received it a couple of hours ago and I’m awe by the tones I’m getting. The even promising part is that the only cab that I have at the moment with V30’s in a Synergy cab that I’m using with my Synergy rig, so I can wait to pair with a more suitable cab (Mesa Recto or a Diezel).

I think that my Synergy rig is going to take some time off.

CONGRATS   I'm jealous! Enjoy it

I owned one for a month or so a few years back, and I'm haunted to this day by the tone and feel of these amps. I've almost pulled the trigger several times this month. Torn between finally trying an Axe Fx and buying a Herbert

Awesome!
Curious if you have the Diezel module for synergy and how that measures up

I do have the Synergy Diezel VH4 module and although it is good, it is not in the same ballpark as the Diezel Herbert. But I also think is not a fair comparison, considering that the module is paired with a Syn 50/50 poweramp. You cannot compare that to the massive poweramp section of the Herbert.

what if you put the module into the Herbert loop? Probably not needed, but that would be a lot of Diezel options!

I actually have a Syn 1, do that is something I could definitely do.

Oh lord, here we go, again. Neophyte galore and abound!

Enjoy it, my friend. I bought the Herbert last year for an excellent price thinking I'd just flip it for a couple hundred dollar profit a f move on. As soon as I plugged in, I knew the amp wasn't going anywhere. Just used it over the weekend to record my bands EP and couldn't be more happy with how it recorded.

Thanks! What cab are you using with your Herbert?

The Herbert is by far my favorite amp. There's virtually no tone I would want that I can't get from it! Played a show with it a few weeks back and the guy running FOH had done sound for Metalica and all kinds of big names. He comes up and tells our other guitarist, I had to do this and that and the other to your amp to get it to sound right, but I didn't have to do a thing to his! It's just a beast of an amp!

I've got a bunch, but for my tastes, I find the amp meshes really well with my Marshall MF400 Slant cab. The k100's seem to emphasize all the right frequencies of the amp, stay tight under the Herbert's massive delivery of bass, and kind of calm the mid section down a tad without having to engage the mid boost.

Neophyte? I am not new to the subject of modules or Diezel, nor am I referring to any religious order. Is this some kind of slam against my post?

It's a gear forum. The OP has gear he could put together and I'm curious at how that would turn out. As in a cool options in a Rig. That we Talk about.

Ignore, the troll must not be fed.

I'd love to snag a Herbert mkiii...or any Herbert for that matter
I run a DMoll into a 4x12; it has 2 Emi Legends and 2 k100s
I used to love the Legends as my goto for years, but in the last few weeks I suddenly hate it. The k100s sound clear and the low end always delivers. I'm going to ditch the Legends; not sure if I want 2 more k100s or v30s or Creamback 75s.

Anybody play their Diezel with Creambacks?
