just got this in the mail thursday, and stopped by my practice space for a few to try to dial it in. really cool amp. not sure if its a keeper yet, as my markIII does a real similar thing... who knows, may off the mesa and keep the eggie. dont judge my clams, straight out of bed and not clicking with my hands lol.

yeah its pretty aggressive. ill do another vid in a couple days after ive gotten used to it. the recording level on my zoom was super low, and i dont know how to edit video yet...
 
That thing sounds like a fuckin flame thrower :rock: I love how thrashy it sounds. I might have to keep my eye out for one of these :D

Yeah its got alot of gain, and its real easy to play. I want to practice with the band as the real test. I really like the amp, but so far it does pretty much the same thing my markIII does for me, which is the super gainy modded marshall tone. Ive only messed with it the once so we'll see. Im gonna try and do a vid of both and check them out.
 
Sounds great! But your right.....for the high gain stuff......the Mark III can bury it. ;)
Not that its a bad thing....but when You back the gain back on the Eggy....it will hit territories that that Mark cant. :thumbsup:
 
I played one at an ampfest years ago and it was my fave. Beat out a Herbert, Quickrod, some Mesa's, Marshall's, and some other things I can't even remember. I don't remember it sounding like yours though. This one was much more of an organic hot rodded Marshall.
 
Watched it more than once...what's the going rate for a clean used head?

i got this one from ampliFIRE for $750 shipped. let me know if youre looking stein, i might be offing this one to build a tele. ive got tele gas bad, and want to build a super esquire.... and ive got three heads. :doh:

thanks man. i think i can get it a little better, more balanced. i tend to way over-do mids, and make them sound congested til i get it eq'd a little better..
when i got my marshall, i dimed my miss, used a tubescreamer, and a very middy pickup. im starting to use a more balanced eq these days.. or trying to.

My build from the last years seminar sounds very similar.
