Bought Henning Cherry Bomb #1 from Octavio on the forum, got new tubes in it and it really sounds great. I'll try to get clips recorded tomorrow morning at church.

When ever you buy an amp built by one of the smaller builders support can be a joke, and shipping cross country for repairs is $200 round trip. This week I found the most impressive part of the amp is it's builder, Steve. After retubing the amp the power tubes were not powering up every time I turned it on. Steve was very helpful and helped me figure it out (One of the heater wires was a little loose between the power supply board and the main board). Thanks to the way he designed and built the amp, I was able to tighten up the connection without taking it to a repair shop.

I highly recommend Henning amps to anyone looking for a modded Marshall type of sound. Steve builds quality and stands behind it.

Never tried the Cherry Bomb but I have good experience with both Steve and the Bottle Rocket. Steve is DEFINITELY a guy who knows what customer service means and makes an amazing product.

Congrats on the amp. I WILL own a Henning sooner than later.

Hey Mike!

Would've definitely taken care of this if there was a repair involved at this point. Shipping was from a very long distance, so I'm always on my toes when it comes to sending out delicate units like these.

I'm so glad Steve helped you out with this and that it was just a loose heater wire. Steve IS indeed a stand up guy and great to deal/talk with.

Hope you keep rocking this amp (which I do miss...). It was a pleasure doing business with you and chatting on the phone.

Octavio,

No worries, you packed it well. Vibration from transit can loosen any connection. I enjoyed the conversation as well.

Absolutely great amp from an incredibly good dude.

There are a TON of tones in the Cherry Bomb.

ENJOY!

Glad it all worked out, Mike. HNAD! I'd love to hear it in person someday.
