Awesome! So with the Kali+ you basically can go the diode clipping route or get the extra Gina from an added tube gain stage? Can he do the kk+ mod on 50 watters also?

I don't think the KK has diode clipping, but it does have an added gain stage. That's what I'm using in the clip. Dan'll mod 50 waters, no problem.

Yeah, Dan doesn't do clipped circuits with the added 4th gain stage anymore. I was lucky enuf to have both the 3 way clipped diode AND 4th added gain stage in my Kali. But in all honestly.. I don't see any need for the clipped diode when you have added 4th gain.. It does what clipped diode does but so much better and without drop in volume or extra amp noise. Its perfect

It's not really needed but nice to have if you want to get the old Cali tones, drop down to 3 stages and kick in a selection of 2 different clip circuits. I've always included them.....when I was doing mods ;)

Yeah Mike.. Im glad I do have the option on mine.. tho I never use it. It's all so good

Awesome clip Matt!! Glad to hear you're enjoying the amp and getting some killer tones from it

As for the clipping, i don't normally put it on the Killer Kali++ Mods as it's not needed when you have the extra tube stage. But if someone specifically asks for it, then i will put it on there :)

Awesome!! Congrats :)

I just spend the last three weeks in the studio with mine... it absolutely ruled. We ended up using the KK++ on the whole album, though we had plenty of other stuff to choose from.
We ended up using pre-rola greenbacks instead of V30's tho.. it's sounded sweet as butter, making that Kali high-mid just cream out!

Ill post up when it's due for release next year.

 pre-rola greenbacks 'this' Greenies with a mid voiced amp is just such a good thing. Warms it up but still doesn't lose any of the balls whatsever.

Yeah you can't go wrong with some older Greenbacks.. They are killer sounding speakers and work great with the mids of the Killer Kali++ and original Cali Mods!

BTW, I had my local amp doc. fix this little pedal for my KK++.

It enables master volume2 + loop on the same switch... awesome for leads with volume boost and a verb/delay in the loop.

Need nothing else than a tuner/wah/phaser in front and a Flashback in the loop. No need for amp gismos, midi and whatnot.

I always set my delay on "multi" so i dont have to tap tempo live and stuff... I'm too stupid for that sort of activity, and I just want to add a bit of atmosphere.
